Welcome to Operational Software

What we do

We partner with manufacturers and continuously deliver software to help them accelerate:

  • Digital transformation
  • Continuous improvement
  • AI adoption

We believe that continuous evolution and ownership of operational software is the future for manufacturing companies. Our purpose is to make this happen.

How we work

Through remote and in-person collaboration, we build shared and bespoke software features that deliver real change and improvements to workflows.

Often, this is around existing ERP/MRP systems, eliminating the need for major system changes.

We make it our responsibility to transform everyday ideas into usable software faster than ever before. We do this thanks to:

  • Our open-source Operational Core software platform
  • Our AI-supported development approach

Operational Core

Operational Core is our open-source codebase designed to be customised and hosted as a single-tenant, dedicated deployment. It reduces software implementation risk and time-to-value by providing proven foundations you can customise, not rebuild. It’s a web application, accessible on any device with an up-to-date web browser.

The codebase consists of customisable modules and common building blocks, giving value on day one while enabling the development of bespoke workflows without starting from scratch.

AI supported development

We use a disciplined, AI-supported, ticket-based workflow for developing source code quickly and safely.

Human engineers are always at the helm since they hold the operational understanding, can ensure high quality, and drive process improvements.

The result is constant, low-risk improvements and code your company owns.

Benefits of code

There are a number of ways to create systems in your company: no-code development platforms, forms and spreadsheets, and paper. Each has its benefits. However, due to various limitations, they rarely scale business-wide successfully.

A system created from source code using version control gives:

  • System governance: a single source of truth for all business logic and company processes with complete version history
  • IP ownership: your company owns the logic, data flows, and process definitions, building operational resilience and lasting business value
  • Scalability: processes developed once and rolled out across sites and lines without re-inventing workflows
  • Auditability and compliance: full change history, approvals, and traceability for quality, safety, and regulatory needs
  • Data integrity: fine-grained data structure definitions, validation logic and automatic data input reduce manual errors and reconciliation efforts
  • Integration longevity: clean interfaces to ERP/MRP, PLCs, and reporting tools without being locked into a single vendor
  • Continuous improvement: faster iteration cycles enable frequent, low-risk improvements rather than multi-year replacement projects

Who we are
